What Is She Talking About?

For those of you born after the 1930s you are probably wondering what Ashley's Pig and Ashley's Buttermilk means. For some reason my ninety-two year old Grandmother's saying, "It's his pig and his buttermilk" came to mind when I was deciding what to name my blog. This is a phrase that my grandmother once used when talking to my brother. According to her it means "it's their business". For example: None of your beeswax, it's their pig and their buttermilk, butt out!! I guess this was a popular saying in mid Missouri years ago, but it was very humorous to our family. It has now become one of my family's favorite sayings and if you hang around my family long enough you are bound to hear it. So, this blog is my business, my beeswax, my pig and my buttermilk but I am inviting you to butt IN! My hope for this blog is to keep my family and friends up to date with what is going on in our lives and when I say "our" I mean Dave's life too. My intentions are to update the site monthly so feel free to periodically check in. Welcome to my blog.
